
CAROL HADLEY FRICKS, RN, MS, CLCP
President and Certified Life Care Planner
Carol Hadley Fricks, RN, MS, CLCP earned her undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine, with a minor in Psychology, from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She then attended Cal State University Long Beach and got her MS in Exercise Physiology/Biomechanics, and concurrently attended LA-County USC School of Nursing. Carol has been a registered nurse since 1984 and became a Certified Life Care Planner in January 2003. Her employment history includes working in a Corporate Wellness Center, working with spinal cord injured patients in an outpatient setting, working as a nurse case manager, and then transitioning to legal nurse consulting and life care planning. She has been preparing Life Care Plans for defense and plaintiff for almost 20 years throughout the nation. In 2019 she was elected to be a member at large on the Board of Directors for the IALCP section of IARP. Carol is based out of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

LISA GAY, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, CLCP
Certified Life Care Planner and Nurse Consultant
Lisa graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Masters in Nursing. She has been working with patients of all ages as a Family Nurse Practitioner for over 10 years and was awarded the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners’ State Award for Excellence in 2018 for the US Virgin Islands. She is a Certified Life Care Planner with experience in a variety of pediatric and adult cases. Lisa is based out of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.

DR .CAROLINE WILLIAMS, MS, PHD
Client Care Specialist, Editor, Researcher
Dr. Caroline Williams earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and master’s degree in molecular biology from University of the Pacific. She then earned her PhD in Translational Biomedical Sciences with a specialty in Virology from Georgia State University. Caroline came on board with Case in Point in August of 2021 as an editor and researcher. She is currently assisting in the plan development while pursuing certification as a Life Care Planner.

RYAN STEPHENSON, DO
Physician Consultant
Dr. Ryan Stephenson is a physiatrist specializing in the treatment of individuals with disability and pain. He completed his medical education at the University of New England and residency training at the Baylor College of Medicine/University of Texas PM&R Alliance program. In his academic clinical practice, he has served as Medical Director of Polytrauma and Brain Injury, Medical Director of the Regional Amputation Center, and Medical Director of the Inpatient PM&R Consultation Service, and currently holds the rank of Associate Professor of Clinical Practice at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Clinically, he treats patients with many forms of disability, brain injury, spinal injury, limb amputation, and acute and chronic pain. He has been recognized for his outstanding contributions as an educator within the PM&R Residency Program and lectures regularly for residents and medical students at the University of Colorado. Additionally, he serves as a Chief Editor for Medscape's PM&R Section. Dr. Stephenson is based out of Denver, Colorado.

ELIZABETH WHEELER, M.ED, LPC, LRC, CRC, CLCP
Vocational Expert
Elizabeth "Liz" Wheeler received her Master's in Counseling from The University of New Orleans in 2002, and has worked in the rehabilitation field since that time. Liz received her certification in Life Care Planning from the University of Florida in 2010, and she has testified in over 15 states as a vocational expert for the Social Security Administration. Her experience has included all phases of litigation, including counseling, vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, medical cost projections, mediation consulting, and trial preparation. Liz realizes that every case is different and unique which is why all of her work products are personalized to reflect the medical/vocational issues involved. Liz is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.
